Botswana maybe? Do you have any plans to cut it? That may help a bit with a positive ID.

It appears to be some sort of nice fortification agate, but it doesn't resemble any Botswana I've seen. I have 50# of Botswana nodules and they all have gray/blue exteriors. But of course no one's seen it all and mines produce many variations. It looks like it has a lot of gemmy potential. Take a slice off and post images. It looks more like Brazilian agate to me.

I thought "Mad River" agate had more going for it than this type in the photo... Would be nice to see the interior stone...

wish I had a whole bucket of it. X2 a bucket half full would do me nicely! Bet it would make nice wind chimes Scott. My math is bad. No doubt. Can you explain how a "whole bucket of it" is equal to "a bucket half full would do me nicely!!" Just pullin' ur chain Orrum. I agree. It would be great if both of you had the buckets as full as you'd like! You guys are cool-io.

Spirit and mike, isn't the photo above a surface dressed rock? If you look very closely at the picture of the rough agate at the top of the page you can see all sorts of swirls and eyes and fortifications... If that rock was dressed, I bet it would match pretty closely.... color seems right!

Most of the "Mad river" agate I have seen was like a twin to Montana agate and very very expensive!! I've never seen agate like that with mild colors and crazy at the same time...Thumbs up

Like I said a half bucket of that would be just perfect!#! Let's see.... one Snowmom bucket X2 equals 2 buckets dived by half a bucket equals 4 half buckets. That's one bucket for Snowmom, a half bucket for me, and a half bucket left for Shotgunner!!! Yes that be Beverly Hillbillies Jethro Bodine Cyphering for sure!!!! Did I mention I was born and raised in Saltville Va. Salt Capital of The Confederacy nestled in the scenic Appalachian Mountains!!! Yes I saw Deliverance!!!
