I am looking for orange jasper or agate that has consistent color. I am also looking for white material that can be polished, like howlite without veins. I'm open to buying or trading.

For size, let's use a large flat rate box to save on shipping. I would like to see the pictures of the white quartz.

In the local mountains I can find lots of white rough quartz. Also i have some white / clear agates that i will be slabbing soon... it would be very cheap.... Not sure when I am going in the mountains again but if you want quartz send me a pm.

You can check with Dale or Aaron of West Coast Mining, the white agate from the polkadot agate claim works nicely.

I have Florida coral that is pretty darn white. Comes in big chunks. No fractures. Polishes easy as it is very hard. some whiter than this:

Hey jerrys. Common courtesy say you should at least acknowledge peoples efforts to help you here... Jerry just spent a week at the NW rockhound retreat last week. I was there too. If his work and home life is anything like mine he may be playing catch-up right now, I'm sure he will respond as time permits.

Several people have contacted me through the PM feature that is off list. I now have the white material. I'm still looking for the orange agate or jasper that will take a great polish.

jerrys when you find the solid orange please check back and let us know what you found. Elizabeth and I are working on assembling an assortment of solid color materials for intarsia and having ID info on possible materials would be helpful.

Will do. It would be interesting to compare lists of materials and colors.
