Nice dino cabs and really like the cell pattern in the 3rd one. 'clinkers' ROFL! Have you checked your clinkers to see if there's any iris-effect in 'em? Not sure what your pretty mystery cab is called, but the purple chalcedony (?) reminds me of cathedral agate. Love your Burro Creek agate from beefjello! Sure miss seeing him on the forum.

The yellow or off white mixed with the black outlines is fantastic, and I hear it's harder to find stable and not crumbly bone like this. Any truth to that?

Thanks Everyone...Gingerkid,I have found a few clinkers with the iris effect....Snuffy I do appreciate the slabs. I started another batch in the vibe tonight...I got them on a 2-2-3-cycle...Brilliant shine...Spiritstone it is true about the bone...I have found that the lighter in color you get the softer the bone is...The bone in question is really solid and more to the yellow/brown ..Lighting issues made it go more white....Need to get another lamp to get it right...John

Great cabs! I especially like the last two dinos. Did Brian tell you for certain that that agate was from Burro Creek? It sure does look like purple sagenite from Sheep bridge, Arizona and Sheep Bridge is famous for just that sort of material.....Mel

Love that dino bone, John, especially the last two. The contrast really makes it pop.
That purple does have a sagenite look to it. What Mel said.
Thanks for sharing!

Great cabs! Dino Bone has my brain every time... can't wrap itself around the fact that it was something living and breathing... fascination that lasts. The 3rd one with the dark contrast fairly screams! I am wondering if I would recognize bits of bone in the rough? Seems to differ so much in color and texture. Next area of study after the chapter I am currently on, I know this forum will help me learn all about it. Love the nameless red moss, so much depth and texture! Keep posting your worthy works!
