Cool design, like the double row of buckets for high and low flow rates. My first thought: I want one! My second thoughts: how much grit do you suppose he used, and how would he do clean-outs? I also noticed that it was the largest water powered tumbler in the world. Does that mean that there is a bigger tumbler somewhere else powered by diesel/electric engines?

forget the practical questions, like having enough to fill up 8 tons of agate - that thing is cool. looks fish friendly too ...cheers

I'm thinking this photo was from years ago..I'm sure there is bigger stuff out there..But to have nature do the work for ya',can't be the costs at all... If you blow up the photo,you can see him in the pic,plus huge boulders that thing tumbles...LOL

Holy crap! Now that's taking rock tumbling to a another level! Cool find, fossilman! this does look like an old photo, but I wonder if that setup is still there? Gold Bar isn't too far away... Maybe it's worth investigating! Here's a larger picture:
