Don, I thought you were trying to get rid of some of your hoard, not adding to it, lol. I'm okay with it where it is sitting, but someone thought maybe I (we?) overdid it? While I did cart every single bucket to the truck (using a dolly, of course) and dump it (as well as unload the truck), I didn't pick it all out by myself, lol.

A bigger truck ? Purty purtys. #8 is maggot agate kidding, peanut obsidian is the king. Let's see, it's 10:40 ET, got it all slabbed and cabbed Jean ? Funny, James! It's taken me this long just to sort some of it out, clean the dirt and rat shit off it, take some pics and post it! Ah, the truck did fine. We were there for 5 1/2 hours. how much did you pay for it all? Sorry, you posted while I was typing. It was all FREE!!!!! Glenn, I know you have not been here long, but stick around, and you will find that I am the most frugal (read, tight, penny pinching, etc. etc.) rock hoarder around! I somehow just luck into the deals and steals. I'm running out of room for it all.
Thanks, Jim and Russ. There's so much more, I've only skimmed the top of it. I've still got the big agates that are soaking, and also some thundereggs that have been halved. Will have to get those cleaned up yet (When it cools down just a little).
Sounds like the person i'd like to be.. i don't highly value rough rocks more than what i'd sell for if i was to. I wish i had some of that stuff.. maybe some day... They didn't just let you put everything in your truck?

If you need room to store it, I have plenty of unused land to pile it up on. I don't have enough years left in me to use all of my own stuff. Yours would be safe.

Don, she already told me that would just send it here, so I could keep watch over it. Sorry. But, a woman is only as good as her word and I did hear her say it. Kidding, of course- but only by half. She didn't actually say it, but she did think it. I'm sure.

Jean, I have a chunk of peanut obsidian out in my shed that's about 2 fists in size, so yours would be safe with me.

They didn't just let you put everything in your truck? Glenn, we had to be nice and share with the other nice folks that showed up . While most of the stuff was really nice, some I had no use for (left it for the others, lol). Probably 1/10 of her rocks ended up going home with me, most people weren't as greedy . But the main reason we went was to help her out with getting them all out of her yard. (Do you believe that?) I'd say we all made about 80% of it go away, surprised we didn't have an earthquake when all that weight was removed. A couple people in the club were going to contact her about coming back and loading up everything that was left, bringing it to the club's shop.
awesome haul! thanks for the pics!
joe You're welcome, Joe. Jean

Dang Jean, you need to get in touch with the montanamadman (Bob). The pile (Mt. Madman) in his back yard is starting to make Billings MT tilt. Soon the river will be in his front yard.
