Howdy folks, Got a call from my friends yesterday. They went out and exercised their Rio Grande Agate hunting tutorial I gave them. This time they hit a much higher percentage of good Rios and brought back way less junk. Six good agates this time. Her are pics of the frst five as my camera battery died. I'll post number six later....Mel Nice red on that looks to have flower garden plume and moss, maybe two pounds. Honkin big one maybe four pounds. Dense red, orange and golden moss. Three smaller ones up to maybe half a pound. The teardrop shaped one looks freaking awesome. Think it may have some colorful plume.

Those are great lookin', Mel, lot of possibilities. Nice sized ones, too. You've got your agate hounds well trained, lol.
You know what they say about not being able to tell a book by its cover? Can't wait to see them sliced open... And the outsides of #6 as well.

Yep I'm also training their two pebble pups. Collecting and selling their agate would be a good way for the kiddies to start a college fund. Y'all may be hearing from them soon. The ranch is totally unhunted and apparently has miles of wonderful agate beds where the stuff just sits right on the surface to be picked up.....Mel
