Correct me if I am wrong but when I am polishing jamesp's (extremely hard) coral it seems like it would be easier to stand on the slabs using a vibe flat lap instead of a round-y-round flat lap. The slabs are only one inch by two inches and I am thinking that by standing on them they would polish in my lifetime and for sure no longer than my son's life time. If you have any experience standing on slabs to get them to polish please let me know. BTW My diamond discs are practically new so please don't lecture me on not having enough diamonds.
Thanks in advance. Jim

I've cabbed some of James coral and it is pretty hard. It does sound like you need a vibe flat lap. I can't imagine how long it would take on my flat lap.

I was joking about that coral being so hard I need to stand on the slabs to get them to polish. As per usual I did not get my point across. Jim

Jim, I know exactly what you mean, that coral is harder than sh!t! I think it is a GA phenomenon - hard coral, hard heads, etc. I have newer diamond toppers on my flat lap, and the coral is just so hard, it does take forever. So I understood what you were saying about standing on it, lol!
So, what I am trying to say is, I did get your point!
