I tried to do a little wrapping during our show last weekend but only finished a few. Too hard to concentrate. I let me kids pick out some cabs that they thought would look good in copper. This was the one I liked the best. I do not usually leave my copper bright but I like the looks of this one as is. thanks for looking, Chuck

Nice! They do look good together. How was your show- or did you post abt it already? The show was a learning experience. It was a "gem and mineral" show and now I know that finished jewelry does not sell at that kind of show. I had no shortage of people looking at my wraps and saying they looked great etc. but none were shopping for jewelry. I spoke to a couple other vendors and they agreed. Luckily we did really good selling tumbled stones and slabs and even after paying for the booth and paying both my kids for two days of work I still banked some decent rock money. My 15 yr old boy pretty much handled all the customers unless they asked about cabs or wraps. Chuck

What great learning experiences and bonding time! Even if you didn't sell anything, it would still be a win.

I think having my son work the booth probably doubles our sales. Who wouldn't buy rocks from a 15 year old kid, lol It's not an intended strategy but hey it works. I came up with the business name "Kidd Rocks" back when he was 10 or 11 but we are now realizing that eventually a name change will be in order. Chuck

Really, I know you are sick of hearing it, but they are really blessed to have a dad like you. So many dads now a days are distanced from their kids. I don't know if it is the majority, but it sure seems like it.
Your 15 year old will be able to run his own business in a few years... how cool is that??

really nice work on a lovely cab. The raw copper looks just right on this piece, and the work is superior.

Excellent wrapping job Chuck, it adds to your cab's colors. It's hard figuring out what people are buying. I sell at a couple of shows where I think I know what is selling and what's not. The next time I'm there it's a whole new ballgame. All it takes is one buyer who has a bunch of money wanting rocks whether they be cabs, slabs and or finished jewelry. Who knows? 39don
