Just had an interesting happening.i ordered some parts from raytec/Scott enterprises, about a month and a half ago.got the parts one week later.but just got charged tonight.kinda put me in a financial bind,do y'all think it is good/common practice to hold onto someone's credit card info for that long without using it and disposing of it. It's a good idea to keep a record of all your expenditures and not spend more money than you have. Isn't Raytech the company that was just purchased and relocated? In a reorganization like that there are processes just like any large purchase, I'm sure it's not common practice with them. Any business I have been involved with is never reluctant to collect money.

I'm just not to keen on having someone hold my info for a month,or possibly give it to someone else,or have someone jot it down.im a contractor so I always collect upon services rendered

Yes Lee is correct, Rick Scott just purchased most of the lapidary equipment division of Raytech Industries and when I last talked to him a month or so ago, in addition to maintaining his normal Raytech-Shaw faceting machines and parts sales, he was in the process of receiving the equipment and parts inventories for the other Raytech lines he has purchased from Lyman Industries and is processing it all. A massive undertaking. Plus he was setting up his accounts with all of the machine shops and suppliers for the new lines. He told me he was currently working 18 hours a day. So I don't think waiting a month and a half to bill is a normal practice for him, I think he is just temporarily over-whelmed. If it will help put your mind at ease Arrowheadave, Rick Scott is a sole proprietor, all of the machining is subbed out and Rick has no full time employees, just one young lady who helps him part time. So I don't think you likely have any worries about someone else getting your payment info. Some of the vendors I buy from regularly keep my CC info on file permanently as a standard practice and I haven't had any problems so far. Larry C.

I wouldn't worry either, Rick is a good guy ! I needed an arbor for a 10" saw and was passing thu town the end of July--he met me at a star buck's to deliver it, and even bought me a coffee, got to talk to him for awhile --how many business's would do that?? he was busy then but made a few minutes for me and that I thought was special
