One of my favorite places to hunt rocks is antique shops. I've found Alaskan jade priced for pennies on the dollar, real old stock material, way under priced specimens and so on. Today I found a thunder egg. Paid $25 for it. Needs some cleaning and there is some green crayon on the cut face. But not too bad for 25 bucks!

Nice score! Not all amazing finds are in the field. A good day's hunt can sometimes be finding an undervalued specimen.
