I'm restoring a Highland Park cab machine (Model B-12) which is missing one of the lower trays (water tray below the wheels), and the corresponding hood. It is the one for the single wheel (on the right end of the machine) and should be about 4 or 5 inches wide. While I can fabricate one out of tin, I'd obviously prefer to have the original material if someone has pieces of a unit that could be parasitized. I have another HP cab machine that could be used to provide "trade" parts if you have needs on your end. It is a complete machine so it could be a replacement or addition to your shop. The model number on the latter is unknown but its comparable to the B-12 except it has a double water tray on left (9.5") and a wide tray like the B-12 on the other side of the bearings with a tray that is 13.5" wide, and then room for a buffer. While the original configuration of my restored unit had only 2 wheels in the 13.5 " compartment, I've managed to squeeze in 3 8" wheels. Note: my unit is on a work stand and has a 10" saw on the left side, but I'm relatively sure the B-12 was sold as a stand alone arbor unit and only sometimes paired with the saw. I'll try to post photos for info and clarification a bit later today. Tom Obviously ideas on other alternatives are welcomed. Anyone knowing the location of a HP catalogue online that would help clarify model numbers and original configuarations is welcome to add it to this thread as a service to others dealing with partial machines. Cheers. Tom

Here is a photo of the business (cab ) end of the b-12, the saw is to the left. I'm needing the tray and hood that would have been originally over the thumper wheel (on right next to polishing disk). Maybe it was on the left where I currently have a homemade tray and hood, but it should be the order of 9 inches wide. Just hoping someone has a partial machine or a source of parts. Thanks all. Tom

You might be able to use a Lortone tin hood/pan. I can measure one but think it would fit as they work for single 8" X 3" drums.

Thanks John, I'll check it out. If you come up with any data I'd appreciate a shout. Tom

Sorry for the delay. The Lortone pans are maybe too wide. They are 7" X 15" X 2" pan. Hood is 5W X 10L X 9 deep. I think the tin pans Covington sells are same painted green.

I may have the parts you are looking for but I will have to go dig through some stuff to check.
I have a unit just like yours but it is complete and I don't want to break it up. I do have other ones that are missing parts though and if they will work I will break one of those up.
