Hi I have a few quick questions as a new member.If I leave photobucket does this mean photos uploaded to forums disappear?In my area under Friends is 3 members with "follow" button.Does this mean that people want to friend me?I know nothing about social side of the internet and want to do right and not offend when not sure what is going on.Does buying those picture things to give to other members help keep the site going?Thank You very much for any replies.......Steve

@quartz7 I switched from PB to Flickr when PB started to have lots of problems. Haven't had any problems yet with Flickr, and it is easy.

well this is an interesting question
what do you mean by leaving PB?
If you CLOSE your account on PB I would think that the links to the pictures disappear.
If you just join another Photo uploading website, without closing your PB account, I would think the links would remain

@mr.mohs
Yes, PB photos remain here if you leave the account open. I did that.
I didn't have to close my PB account in order to open the Flickr account.

What Ed said. If you close your photobucket account, the pics stored there will disappear, so the links you've put on this forum will be broken - no photo showing. If you just leave the account there, but quit using it, I think they will keep storing the photos, at least for a while. Maybe indefinitely, I don't know. They might purge inactive accounts after a period of time.
You only have 12 posts, and two of them (in this thread) don't have photos. How many photos do you have posted here? If it's not a lot, you could upload your photos to flickr (or wherever), then go back and edit the posts that have lost pictures with the new links for them.

Thanks, Pat. You were right, I needed something a little more recent! Just can't take good selfies, and couldn't get anyone to take my pic for me.

Steve , the stars by avatars are indicative of how many comments etc you have made.
If I recall, there are about 20 different designations.
