Yes, I have heard that okra is a gateway vegetable. I saw a documentary that featured a guy all messed up on kohlrabi, and when asked he said it all started with one little fried okra star.

On a more serious note...now that marijuana has been decriminalized in so many places, why do we allow raids of small farms for pot?
Doesn't make any sense...we should allow everyone to have their own home grown gardens...the states may lose a little bit of revenue but it doesn't seem much different than making your own wine or beer or canning your home grown tomatoes.

*LOL* I was assigned to escort around a biologist from the USDA one time ( a minority parity hire) and was amazed to see she could not identify one crop we were growing. Broccoli, cauliflower, celery etc, all a giant mystery to her. Wondered what the heck she was even doing working for the AG dept at all as she was plainly just another government motard. Seemed a shame she was wasting a job space that could have be occupied by a "real" scientist......Mel
