Well heres my cab.. Since I found this stone last year I have been wanting to cab it... not really sure what it is. I was calling it a jasper, but its not a jasper. It looks to have garnet in it also.

Found this stone locally here in Alaska on a driveway or bulldozed area while working. Due to its small size I cut it in half and i liked the natural shape so I used that for the outline. I will probably cab the other one soon. I have not seen anything else like this and wish i knew where to find more.

Considering this is the 2nd cab I have ever made I thought it turned out nice.. but then again if its not nice I probably wouldn't have finished it

This is not a high silica and is rather porous for quality so it got a better polish than i was expecting... I wouldn't want to go any higher on polish for this one anyway.

I hardly ever think about taking pictures of my slabs and preforms but since I took photos while cabbing this one last night I figured why not throw it into the mix.
