Howdy Folks- Thanks for all your kind comments about my work. I appreciate it! I'm trying to create and promote a small side business with my jewelry. It has been a challenge navigating the ins and outs of my own website, domain name, email address, facebook page, business card, and linking them all together. It was a huge pain in the a$$ trying to find a business name that was not already taken by another company, website, or face book page. I went through a list of about 50 different names and was left with ZODIAC JEWELRY DESIGNS. With all the more obscure names I was interested in being taken, I'm surprised this one was still available. It's growing on me. So here comes the SPAM portion of this post. In order get a unique facebook page address to link to my website, I need at least 25 likes for the facebook page. Since I've had so much support from this community, I'm asking those who admire my work to check out my facebook page and give it a like - even share it if you please. www.facebook.com/pages/Zodiac-Jewelry-Designs-by-Joshua-Edwards/350167008488971?ref=hlTake a gander at the website if you like: www.zodiacjewelrydesigns.com/xflgrsbl5m4wjwf9tmnucn6cp672sdSorry for the shameless self promotion grab, but thanks again for your support and help. Joshua

Facebook page looks good. Your weaving is nice. I am just teaching myself to weave with wire. Best of luck to you.

Who's did you like the best? I seem to be leaning towards Lisa Barth, then maybe Kaska Firor. I have done a lot of right angle weave with beads, and have designed a lot of my own bracelets and such. I have always been fascinated with wire wrapping.

The Firor book shows a greater variety of weaves and techniques. "Weave, Wrap, and Coil" by Jody Bombardier is the book I started with and is also a good one.

Your jewelry is outstanding. Not on FB.
Are you on etsy?

Although all the websites, facebook pages and such may contradict this, i'm need to take a small scale local approach right now. i just figured having a decent website and facebook page would present a semi-professional appearance to potential local buyers.

I want to say before I forget that I love your handle and avatar! I'm a bit of a geek fan for the (old) Sleestaks. I rarely go to facebook, but I'll like you when I do. Your website looks good! I'll check it later and see how it fleshes out, but I like what I see so far. Good luck! Your jewelry is beautiful and I'm sure you'll have plenty of fans.

Thank you- I had no idea, really. I'm extremely flattered by the quality of your work. To know I had a small part in it, is very gratifying. Just went to FB and saw you have lots of new likes. It's going to be a pleasure to watch your work and style progress. I noticed the names that you mentioned and I wonder if you have ever checked out Perri Jackson. Frankly, I think she is one of the best out there and she is a FABULOUS teacher. Her tutorials are the best.

Thanks for the point. It reminds me of turks head style sailor knots. Good to see another Sleestak fan. I used to thrive on Land of the Lost and bowls of toxic cereal on Saturday mornings. Cookie crisp, Golden Grahams, and Captain Crunch dominated!

Can you post some pictures? Have you posted up some of your work on the forum already? I'd like to see it.

Josh, I have never really figured out why it is called right angle weave. There is a thread in this forum called Just Curious, just about a page back that I started. It has some of my work in it. The bracelets I designed. I have a bunch more. The set that I am posting here I just finished. I have some more wrapped pieces that I need to post, as well as some bracelets. Thanks for asking and looking. Sandy

Josh - I liked your FB page. Have you joined any of the jewelry groups on FB? That should be an easy way to get a bunch of likes
