I remember when my son was young and cute! Now he is 14 and can't understand why people exect him to work for his rocks now instead of just being handed cool things. Not that he is any less interested in smashing things with a hammer, he just misses the days of being 'special'.
Super cool looking obsidian! Thanks for sharing!

Man that reminds me of my old deer hunting days with my pop. We always used to hunt mulies out of Plum Creek campground and way back then there were no claims up there. Used to see those needles weathering out of banks along the road. Never even know about all those fancy types of obsidian back then but did find the occasional rainbow nodule in the creek bed. Excellent finds you've made there....Mel

*L* Yep, I'll admit it, I'm old. This would have been in the late 50's through 60's. There may have actually been claims there but I don't remember seeing any digs except tiny ones that looked to be made by rockhounds.....Mel

Nice finds, your little guy (rock-pup) will remember that for the rest of his life.
