I wonder how this would be for cleaning slabs . . . would be great for getting grease off the top of gravy stock too. 1kg of absorbent absorbs 14.5kg of oil. Oh, and it is waterproof too!

We had squares of those on all our boats in case of any fuel/oil spills. Called 'em diapers. Things are kinda expensive! I'm gonna stick with kitty litter and Dawn.

I keep a bag of oil-dry in my trunk for winter emergencies and then use it during summer for slabbing- It was about $5-6 for a 25# bag @ Walmart. At season's end, back in the trunk. If you wipe excess oil from slabs 1st, that bag will last forever> (almost).
