Surfing the web, I found stores.blairrock.com/. Good prices, cheap shipping, good service. Large selection of slabs and small rough. I ordered 6 items. The Tahoma was as good as I hoped and so was the crazy lace (small rough about 1" thick). The Horse Canyon, Yellowstone agate and the butterfly jasper was ok. The botswana pieces were small. I might get a cab out of them. He threw in 3 freebies. Total cost $17.25

I've never bought from them before, but was aware of them. They always have cool stuff at good prices.

I can't access the site from the url you posted for Blairrock. The first time it brought up the home page, but from then on just a 502 error. Anyone else having the same issue?
HUH? Now I can get on the site. Sorry for the bother folks.....

The link worked for me, in fact I just purchased 9 slabs. Prices are much better than ebay which has gone insane lately.

Pat, as I mentioned, I haven't done business with them... yet. But judging from their area code, I'd have to go with Detroit, MI area? Anyone with first-hand knowledge?
I've had their site bookmarked for some time now, can be useful for trying to figure out an ID.

stardiamond and pghram can you tell us if you thought the pictures they showed on their website were representative of the true colors? Sometimes some of the sellers really jack around the colors which results in big disappointment. I was just wondering.

Great post thanks! I placed a small order for four slabs just to see how it goes. I like that that say they will refund money if it fits in a SFRB which I know my purchase will.
One thing I noticed is that after my sale the slabs I bought are still showing up for sale...might be something to keep an eye on if they have to manually remove the pieces as they are bought.
Overall very pleasing interface and easy checkout.

In my opinion, the photos were very accurate. I do wish that they were larger. They did refund 5.00 on shipping in my case. So, I am pleased.

I've been buying materials from Mr. Daryl for a couple of years and highly recommend his business. His prices cannot be beat and his lapidary materials are very good quality and kick arse! He also remarks in his listings if a piece (slab) has been treated for stabilization.
