My son and I got out for a while this last weekend and found some of the same and some new to me rocks. We were a bit limited in where we could go because Jimmy is still on crutches but he was given the go ahead to start putting some weight on the bad leg so he is getting around somewhat better. This is some rock that is exactly the same as the wampidy sunrise except that this is yellow/orange instead of pink/red. wampidy sunrise This almost has to be stromatalite and not pet wood. Not sure if this is coral or something else. Probably something else. This is for shape only. Bad angle in the photo but one way it looks like a turtle and the other way it looks like a snail. Kind of. Black and white granite? I have found this before and I am not sure what it is but it looks great polished. This may be a big first for me. It is the closest thing to obsidian I have found. I need to do some testing because it may just be a tight basalt or black agate. Red jasper. This stuff is like finding the haystack around here. It is almost everywhere. The best has yellow mixed in. I keep forgetting to put something in the photo for scale. The first couple of rocks are fist or double fist size but the rest are pretty small. Not much of a haul but it was good getting out again.
