Hey y'all, anyone have experience with Chicago Electric Power Tools dual drum rotary rock tumbler, model 67632? I'm a month in and as far as I can tell it's running fine, I'm wondering what to watch out for, keep an eye on, etc. I'm thinking of getting a second one, so I'm wondering if I should cough up the cash for a Lortone instead or if the Chicago is fine for beginners.

The Chicago Electrics are knock off Lortones. The CE belts had a reputation for breaking. Dunno if they are any better now. Use a Lortone belt for replacement if required. Same size better quality.
If you are in for the long haul consider buying the Lortone. Their barrels are much heavier and will last a long time. I had a single barrel CE 3# and the barrel wore out in less than 2 years. My Lortones barrels are over 3 years old and are still holding up.

been there, done that, like tvancil said, if in for the long haul lortones are the way to go. had issues with cheaper built, thinner parts, belts, barrels.
