I was browsing eBay a couple days ago (for Russian Amazonite I think) and saw this picture in a listing - I don't do wire wrapping, nor wear "jewelry" such as wrapped stones, but I thought this was pretty darn cool. Now, I'm not one to want/like things around or hanging from my neck, but to be able to display a favorite rock in a prominent spot where I could see it often would be nice. I got to thinking that a favorite rock "caged" in this manner hanging from my rearview mirror in the truck wouldn't be tooo (yes 3 os needed!) gay. So, just a thought for you wrappers with stores. These things just might sell. I sure wouldn't want to wear such a bulky thing, but advertize them as hanging display cages (whatever) or they could even make Christmas tree ornaments. No charge for goofy ideas!

YOU DONT WEAR WRAPPED STONE ! that got to change not enough people sporting rock! I go to rock shows & even a lot of the vendors who make pendants aren't wearing them! strange hobby mostly

In my hippie days I had bead curtains. Captive rock curtains with chains of caged rocks would be groovy!

Thanks for posting the picture. I have a dozen or so very small perfect pyrite cubes that I collected in NC and had imagined this exact thing to make a pair of earrings with. In fact while cleaning the garage the other day I rediscovered the little jar and it reminded me of my plans, so this was perfect timing!

There is a tutorial on etsy for a "hinged cage pendant" that looks intriguing. Am going to purchase and try as soon as our studio is finished (by the end of the month, fingers crossed!)

Great post. I have also picked up these in the passed. Saw them in a store with stones , I bought one . Then got a bunch from eBay. Now I don,t where any pendens either. And have a few buddy's that laugh about my hobby. Now I noticed the guy in the video is full of tattoos, I should show them that even tough guys make jewerly. Still have not put them to use but I like the curtain idea.
