Hello all on this fabulous Saturday. This is Ed Myhro from Lincoln, CA. I bought the above mentioned tumbler from The Rock Shed over a year ago but due to an occurence of open-heart surgery, I packed it away. Got it out the other day and started using both barrels. It seems to be running fine except that it has a squeak resembling a mouse. I figure some oil might due the trick but I don't want to put the oil in the wrong place. I need to find out where the oil points are as I do not have any instructions. Any help would be great. I tried to call Shawn but got his voice mail which was full and could not leave a message. Anyone can help? Thanks and you all have a great rest of the weekend. Ed M.

The four white bushings, if you have to.

The four white bushings as said above. Just a drop each on the metal shaft and run the bushing backnforth over the oil. Then, on the motor there is an oil port on each end of the motor on the top. A drop in each port. I oil the bushings frequently and the motor oil ports nownthen.
And, welcome to the forum Ed!
ETA: If you ever have call to place a Rock Shed order, a back up belt (the big O ring) for the tumbler is a good idea. Sucks when they break in the middle of a load!

That fixed the problem. Thank you. I did buy an extra drive belt when I purchased the tumbler just in case. Do the drive belts usually last a long time?

Yes. I've only had to replace one in nine years.
The lids can thin out eventually, usually on a barrel dedicated to 60/90.

When I started my tumblers back up this year I had 5 of those exact belts break. They don't like to be left in high heat I guess. So store your spare in the house, not out in a garage or shed that gets hot. Also, if you're not using the tumbler, remove the belt from the motor shaft.

Thank you all for the input. Learned some thing's I didn't know about this tumbler. It's humming away right now. A little noisy but not bad. I have to keep it indoors in a spare bedroom. I get used to the sound.
