We have an area here in Oregon,that is in my my back yard so to speak (12 miles away)..It's only open once a year and it's in November...
A logging company owns the land up there,so usually is shut in most of the time..
In November they let you fish,bow hunt and day hike the area(daylight only).......I found an area up there that has a great spot for finding agates and limbcast petwood....
Most of the time it's just so I can get back into nature like I did in North Dakota and Montana.....I'm not a people or city person..
I love the mountains..........Away from all the crap!!
It takes a lot of gear to hound this area,because your in the water 99% of the time,with a scooper,finding your prize...
I take my waist waders,knee boots,scooper,rock bag,food,water,cameras,357 Mag.(Bears and Cougars)..
This year I found a few pieces,but my prize was the beauty of what nature gave to me on this day........... Enjoy

This is a logging area,probably a brush pile from logging,being torched....
