I was approached to work on a real cool project a few weeks ago. I had a customer contact me from Florida and she told me a story about a few pudding stones that her parents had kept on display in their cabin up in northern Michigan. It turns out both parents have passed and she wanted to make 4 key chains and two pendants as gifts for family members from her mom and dads stones. She works with silver and she will be setting them in bezel settings. I really hope she sends me some photos of her finished project. here are the rocks she sent me. I only sliced up the three on the right. I'll send her back the two nice ones on the left. Here's the slices I was able to cut And isn't just perfect that a perfect heart showed up in one of the cabs? Thanks for looking Chuck

That is a cool story. There were some really nice slabs in that second stone. Nice work on the cabs.

That is a cool story. There were some really nice slabs in that second stone. Nice work on the cabs. Yeah Rob this post is a great example of how many cuts it takes to find suitable cabbing areas in pudding stone. 17 slabs plus the end cuts and only yielded six spots I thought were worth cabbing. Were those Cabbed or tumbled? Nice either way!! These are all cabbed. Pudding stone undercuts pretty bad when tumbled so you can't do tumble cabs. see this weeks tumbles below for reference. Chuck
