Well I needed something to clean off my prehnite crystals that can put water out at a high psi. I did not feel like buying a power washer and I found an equivalent. Costs me $57.60 shipped. I am not sure if they mailed it as I ordered it last night. So far good communication with them. I am hoping I will make my money up very fast as cleaned specimens sell easier than unclean (even if I marked the price down for that reason). The gun shoots water out at 1,650 PSI. It should be a lot nicer on my crystals than the pressure washer is as there is a low volume of water. Heres a Link.. I will update as new info comes. linkIf anyone wants prehnite crystals after I clean them feel free to pm me, I'll be pricing and storing the ones I can part with to sell at a Bazzar show.

Hmmm....looks like this might be just the ticket to get grit or whatever out of druzy pockets and crevices during tumbling operations too. I'll be interested to follow your reports on how it does for you cleaning your crystals - thanks for the information!

That looks very similar to the Upholstery Spot Cleaning Sprayers that the Furniture Repair businesses used to sell for around $250 ten years ago. If it has the same velocity of spray you have to be careful using those things. The spray jet easily has the force to break the skin and give a painful flesh injury. Larry C.

Jack Yeah, Pressure washer clean the crystals great as long as the clusters are large and stable however it breaks smaller stuff. This should be a lot easier on them giving the same PSI

fantastic5 has one of these and will be able to give more feedback as to its use. It will destroy softer material and smaller crystals I believe.

The one my husband bought me looks very similar to the one you just bought glennz01. It works really well for cleaning vugs and iron deposits but will take a light chalcedony coating right off of some material. So I would recommend trying it on a similar piece before you try it on a favorite. Sometime I want the coatings to some off and sometimes not. Like QuailRiver said, it will definitely cause a flesh wound if it hits your skin at the right angle. I try to limit it's use to the summer time, the spray back can be quite a lot and it's just a lot easier to be outside when I use it. Oh, and wear safety glasses. I had a lot of sharp particulates hitting me in the face when I was cleaning my Withlacoochee River corals and was just lucky none got into my eyes before I grabbed the glasses.

Thanks for the advice, I think the key to cleaning will be how far away from the item is from the gun, Also it has the mist function which might work the best. I know that the prehnite crystals can take the pressure though.

I was reading the features of the spray gun and it said that the spray was adjustable from sharp to mist. This sound a bit safer to me. Let us know if it is adjustable. Enjoy the new tool. -Bill G

Since most of my work is with small mineral specimens, I bought one of those jewelers steam cleaners. It works great for my purposes.
To protect your flesh, look on google for the heavy military surplus rubber chemical gloves. They give great protection. I bought 2 pair, and use them when I'm soda blasting specimens.

Well It is due to come in the mail tomarrow.. I won't have the post office keys so I have a feeling I will get the "stop buying stuff and having it sent to our post office.. get your own box" speech, So I'll probably be able to test it on Tuesday or Wednesday. I only wish the company mailed it out a day earlier but it was still fast shipping and good communication regardless.
Can't wait to clean my crystals... I just need to bring them to the place I can clean without interruption with all my other lapidary stuff.
Also if someone can move this to the correct bored that would be awesome. Thanks!

I just noticed but I thought I posted this in the venders section, I must have been tired unless it got moved for some reason Nope. You've been bumping down threads with stuff actually for sale for several days now. Maybe when you get the whatever it is, you can start a new thread to tell us all about it somewhere other than the For Sale section. TYVM I'll wait for the new thread to ask why mom doesn't like you using her P.O. Box. I'm sure I'm not the only one dying to know.

Isn't there someone on here that can move this as I asked in my last post, If not I will make a new one. Also its my stepdad that is the problem not my mom.
