Beauties all. Once you get set up for the groove wrap they are very easy but perfect bails are not. Yours are perfect. Jim

Chuck I think those are very nice. I didn't really like Dallasite before but do like it now! My rough that I was given is a brownish red on the outside and grainy looking.

more good man jewels. I'd wear those in a second. And so would wife. Must be stable to hold up to the groove. bc has a gold mine over there. That rascal gets to collect on Vancouver Island. Life not fair.

Chuck I think those are very nice. I didn't really like Dallasite before but do like it now! My rough that I was given is a brownish red on the outside and grainy looking. Like any other breccia it is hit or miss. The one rock in this batch that I thought would be the best by looking at the outside did not produce one slab that I could cab. I have the end cuts from the rocks used in these wraps glued to boards right now and will finish slabbing this weekend. If you want a nice slice let me know. Chuck

Yes I would like a nice slab. I am in Quartzsite now and have a Post Office box. I would trade you a piece of Utah Lucien Variasite rough for the slab? It would have several small slabs. Or some Idaho Benton Mountain rough, it's a milky white agate that has swirly etc inside some of it. It's a guess as to what's in it.
Chuck you need to do a thread on gluing rocks to boards and getting them off. You do great pictures and typing explanations.
Thanks, Bill

Thank you again, Chuck. The first/white one is my favourite. Can't wait to see them all in person. I was a big fan of the groove wraps for how simple and solid they looked since I first saw them. Had to have some.
Too bad about the rock that didn't produce any slabs, I think I know the one you mean. Was the inside just not very attractive/not like the outside?more good man jewels. I'd wear those in a second. And so would wife. Must be stable to hold up to the groove. bc has a gold mine over there. That rascal gets to collect on Vancouver Island. Life not fair. I am glad you and your wife would wear them. I'm just scheming to get off this dark rock. Puerto Vallarta coming up in a few weeks. orrum Where did you get yours, if I may ask? I know what steered me wrongly early on was seeing this ebay listing, which I wouldn't even call Dallasite now, just a hunk of quartz/basalt. www.ebay.ca/itm/DALLASITE-Vancouver-Island-CDN-SPIRITUAL-STONE-found-on-Dallas-Road-VICTORIA-BC-/230853240767

Mine was a gift rock from a member on here. They did not do cabin so they threw it in on a tumble rock deal I bought. It acts like grainy granite and dies not shine or even get real smooth. Hey I ain't complaining cause it was free!!!#

Great cabs, grooves and wraps Chuck. I really like the clean lines and as I said before your bails are looking sweet. Cheers.
