Tammy and I spent the holiday on the Oregon coast,the day after Thanksgiving,we spent some time in Lincoln City and visited a few rock shops... I found some green chert from California and bought Tammy this "gem-ed" Amethyst.......

That's a beautifully cut stone. Happy wife ... Ya know yer a rock crazed fanatic when you open a thread, read a good story and then wonder where the heck the pictures of the green chert are!

Wow, nice cut on that. I am a real nut on faceted stones. So many varieties and if it's cut just right it shines. Good choice for sure.
