I will make a prize for whomever guesses what the subject in this photo is. Taken by my Moto X camera. No editing, straight from the memory stick. The longer it takes the better the prize. I'll start the prize at 3# of amethyst I hounded recently.

it was either going to be very easy and fast or very hard and take a lot of guesses. PM me your address for your prize. You might mention if you have a saw and what size it is so I can choose appropriately for you.

Where was this glass that there is nothing visible behind it and no reflection?

captbob could be a matte opaque glass. Odd that the shadows are different. On the left, looks like the light source was lower left. On the right, no indication --- even shadows all the way around. @shotgunner show us your setup!

windshield of my car, looking up into a grey sky. I can't explain the black reflections. That is why I thought it may be a stumper. It was a foggy, misty, rainy morning in Vacaville. We were waiting for Tommy to meet us at the rock shop, then go for lunch.

Interesting. I knew it was glass, did not realize it was car windshield.
Do you have any more photos of unusual/questionable things? (That are G-rated, lol.)

Scott, so it was taken from inside the car? If so that might explain the black shadows if rain drops land as I imagine.

Yes, inside looking out and up at a grey sky.
Drops on the outside, me on the inside. The black must be dark areas around me. If you look to the far right side you can see some trees. There was no rain at that moment. The rain had stopped and the mist formed these droplets. I like the way there was little ones between the big ones, that inspired the image. I got 6 snaps in before rain ruined the scene!

actually, I use a similar product and this is why the droplets are formed. I don't need windshield wipers on the highway when it rains.
When the rain started just a little bit, the droplets got heavier and sheeted right of the glass.

The drops are spread out in a unique pattern. Clear focus, cool photo.

Very cool photo - I was not thinking glass/water at all lol I thought it looked similar to close-up shot I took of a thin rubber adhesive pad.
