Nothing special, we worked it down in increments finishing up with a 50,000 grit. This was done on our garage grinding wheels. We have learned the hard way to scrupulously clean each belt after use and to wash the stone several times between grit. It really does make a difference. I polished the silver with a dremel, left the stone alone as we haven't had good luck with any of the polishes on stones. Good to know. I never took it to a 50000 stage. Thought I could get away with a less grit like most jaspers can take. We like to take all our stones to 50K, the high polish on some of the jaspers are almost mirror like!

I can get the mirror look on almost all my cabs, but this BC jasper is just giving me a hard time.

No, no paste of any kind. I think the most important thing is a completely clean belt and stone

I run a drip system so water and a clean surface should not be my issue, no scratching on the cabs. It sounds to me I need to go to 50k and by the looks of it too. Thank you.
