Super nice Keith! Loved the other pictures of the cuts you've made too. All of mine is still muddy.

Great cab and very unobtrusive wrap. Love how you can see the whole cab-- it has a lot going on. Nice stuff.

Nice stones ! Keith did you know or have you ever found oolite there. It takes a pretty good polish too ! I was told years ago that the lace agate there was not take a polish with it being too fragile. I know better ! Some of the material is fragile but some of it will polish. I like collecting the stalagmites. Was collecting with the Carrollton club one year and a gentleman from California was with us and he collected a lot of the chert. I have never tried polishing it but he was thrilled to get it. Some of it does have some interesting patterns. Ocher is also found in the mine in brown, red and sometimes orange. Artifacts found there has given thoughts that the Natives collected the ocher. Looks like you had a nice trip !

I showed it to munchie but not Keith, I don't think. A fellow rockhound who met us there (not on RTH) has shown me some of his Summerville oolitic cabs in the past and they were great. I've been just so busy I haven't even washed off my last three collecting trips.

Dave showed ma some of the oolitic material and I was going to get it and forgot! Jim we found some pretty solid stuff I have cut 3 pieces and got 10 slabs and all but one seems to be solid.I found a lot baseball and bigger. A couple of big solid ones! Garock I have cabbed 3 pieces and they took a good polish only went to 3000 grit. If it comes a big rain there will be some nice pieces cleaned off.
