I like to wander the prairie and stare at the ground and today was a nice day for it at the start but it got really windy. I was checking out a new for me area and it was really productive, I was bending over to pick up rocks so often my neck was getting kinda sore. Agate mostly, some brown and red jasper and a few chunks of epidosite. I've been getting really picky on what epidote I pick up it's got to have a lot of quartz in it. here's a nice piece of a pink/white agate that's typical of some of the agate around here, polka dots in it but not usually red like this. I'm stoked to saw this up and take a look at the inside: and here's the load of agate and whatnot: and the scenery:

Nice rocks and scenery. Whereabouts? Makes me long for prairie land. I want to drive around those empty gravel roads all day.

This is in northern Colorado, about 50 miles east of the mountains.

lots of goodies in that bucket! looking forward to seeing pictures of what you do with it. Wonderful pictures, looks like you could hunt forever... regarding the bending over and the sore neck, etc... I wonder how many of us will be permanently stooped over as we get older, from all the "looking at the ground"... looks like I am headed that way.
