Hi everyone, haven't posted in ages but I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas & a Happy and Healthy New Year!

My daughter asked if I could make her boyfriend a tie tec for Christmas, so I dug around and found my blue tigereye. Locally there are no tie tac findings available, so I had to improvise with what I had available. A short length of chain and a scrap of heavy gauge wire (hammered flat & drilled) worked nicely to finish it. I think he'll like it.

I made one for myself a couple years back and used a freeform black precious opal.

Jan, you are correct it is blue tigereye, sometimes called hawk's eye.

Spiritstone, I bet the black opal tie tac was spectacular.

Fossilman & Roy, thanks guys. Been good, busy with family, work, etc. Don't work rocks too much lately, but it's always in the back of my mind. I poke around here on RTH occasionally & enjoy everyone's work.
