A little bigger then a small bowling ball. One of just a few varieties I have for display. From Nevada. Enjoy.

That vug looks like a birds open mouth with predatory beak ready to crush some food. After you mention this it reminded me of a Humboldts beak. Finished watching a show on the Smithsonian channel as they are creating problems on the fish stocks, being that they now occupy waters all the way to Alaska. WoW! Man killers to they are.

I was watching closely as they were pulling them on board, one mean beast as you put it. Looked easier then attracting monkies with bananas "no profanity needed" when fishing for them. They attack anything that moves. lol

Nice & big Black Rock t-egg ya got there, spiritstone. Looks like it's winking in one of your pics. Think they are found where the Burning Man festival is held? John/swordfish probably found it while chillin' out at the festival.

Beautiful dramatic egg, huge size! I'd make that the focus of a collection. ( I like Calamari- now you guys have me thinking about that, too)
