I know this thread started with heartache and sorrow and we replied in many ways but for me this thread has become a re-affirmation in all that is good about this Board. I can hear Sly and the Family Stone...We ARE Family! Love to all--even the 'splinters' in the Board. Lady B

Just keep in mind what one person considers inferior might be considered superior by someone else. You know the old adage, opinions are like fecal matter ports, everyone has one.

Sheri, I think it takes all kinds.
Since we are all different we think differently and act differently and react differently than anyone else. Since you share a gene pool with family you might have some special empathy there but everyone else reacts a bit differently to words and stimuli.
It seems incredible to me that someone could think that praising and encouraging others is meaningless but that is what this board does and 99% of us think it is the right thing to do. There is that other 1% that sees it a little differently.
Remember there are people who cannot feel pain, who cannot smell, who cannot see, who cannot walk, who cannot talk. That does not make them bad or worse than you , just different and they probably cannot help it; that is the way they are.

The person kind of apologized. "It was not my intention to upset you. I regret any distress you experienced because of what I reported." I accept this as an apology and will move on but I would like to say to this person.............please think before you talk! Ok, that it. I will not sit still for this one minute longer. This really pisses me off. I will say now that you are an unfortunate miserable minuplative theving ignorant excuse for a rockhound. Put that in your pipe ans smoke it. You can remove this posting and your original posting and we can drop the matter ... ... or I can tell everbody what you did. I can tell everybody how you misquoted me, took workds out of context, manipulated this board for the sympathy you seem to thrive on. Fix what you have done or I will fix it for you!!

I have been following, with some interest and amusement, this thread about 'Hurt Feelings'. I now believe that everyone concerned should get a life, and that at least one person 'who shall not be named' should get a therapist.
GREAT PICTURE NMrocks!!

Mark - If you want to delete this entire thread, I would be willing to let the matter drop on RTH. I might tell some poeple in private email, not through RTH or PM, exactly what Sheri did - but not here. Or, I would be glad to leave the board and never darken you doorway again. It can be your choice.

sheri...loved working with you when i built your grinder parts...and would do it again in a minute.
daniel you hooked me up in our first trade....you gave better than i sent.
i have no problems with either of you.
sheri what was said behind the scenes...should have stayed behind the scenes....not brought out here on the board...whether you had your feelings hurt or not....just my opinion.
daniel....you should have not even left feedback for sheri on ebay...you got your refund...why leave anything?...why leave a positive with negative tones?...should have left nothing....that wasnt right either.
sheri....you posting pm's and such....no matter how much support you had....forced daniel to take a stand...at some point he had to.
whether this deleted or not....seems to me yaw can....or at least should be able to work this out....if ya cant...so be it....why is this in the general rocks board anyway?.....maybe in the vendors section?.....hurt feelings?....maybe life and universe section?.
i hate to see what happens to this thread...if cp comes rolling by...he calls us stupid adults with internet problems ;D.
sheri it was wrong to bring the pm's up on the board....they are private......daniel it sucks that you left her feedback the way you did....it should have been worked out privately.
now i got beer to drink...its friday...i get a 12 pack ;D...kev.

I can't speak for any one else at RTH, Sheri, but you owe me no apology.
Mark: Since apologies and making nice are in the air, I regret that my first posting added to the spoiling of your Board. I think my second posting demonstrated that I was making a sincere effort to be non-abrasive or rabble-rousing when I spoke about belief in reaffirmations and the family nature of RTH.
NMRocks: The image you shared here has certainly brought much-needed humor to this thread.

Danny-boy, you always say you won't take any crap from people, but as soon as someone questions your authority or has a different opinion as you, you resort to degradation, like you did to me yesterday and Nmrocks a few weeks ago among others. Enough is enough with your crap, and name calling. If you want to leave, by all means, don't let the door hit you in the ass. I won't miss you. If you disagree with how Sheri handled this, fine. It didn't call for your degradation. Just like what you said about me, you don't seem like you are interested in objective examination and resolution of the issues when the problem escalates. You want respect, you have to earn it.

I personally want people to be tactful in their criticism. Which more so falls into when being creative and asking what people think. I think even in the extreme, Daniel is one of the best at tactful criticism then any other member ive read on any forum. I enjoy when further questions and creative discussions comes from criticism. I am often restrained and afraid to post here because is doesn’t seem really anybody wants a critical opinion about much. Or I feel I don’t have the time to edit my posts before hand like this one when its not rock related, or when I feel I may say some critical. One must really watch what they say when it can be viewed as cristism on this board.
Being supportive and saying “good job” is very important. But as an artist, ive always found cristism to be more of an incentive of drive. But how can everyone know what everyone else will find offensive or not? We cant, so must employ tolerance. But in the end, the most important part is what’s public and what’s private. Does anybody know? I feel this is a private place.
Edog, why play that game?

What game am I playing?
Yeah, thats tactful criticism! I guess I'm the only one so far that doesn't like the degrading, name calling that Mr. tactful is getting used to doing.
