My wife got this in a pile of rock at an estate sale! I don't have the heart to cut! It will stay a display piece!

I would have to cut a piece off of the two o'clock side because if it was sitting on my shelf it would drive me crazy. Gorgeous piece. Jim

Definitely don't cut it, but I noticed you have the capability to polish big irregular surfaces and I think polishing this one would bring more contrast to the very rough inside.

Yes, it could be put on a large flat lap to even out and polish the edges.

Adrian T thought about that but I got out voted by the wife!! I did contour polish the end of this piece. it is 3 inches tall and 4 wide.

Very nice specimen, try to talk your wife into letting you polish the edges, it would really pop.

I found this picture from a couple of years ago! I like the corn flake carnelian agates. Polishing agates like these is really rewarding. They really take a nice polish!

Thanks for the offer Jean, rockpickerforever, but a couple of years ago a gentleman gave to me a carnelian stone about half as big as my head. I sliced it up and got lucky because it had turtleback and rows of spots. I gave several of the slabs away (Susan got one at Q last year) but still have a couple of the best. Jim
