I've not seen all the saws in the world, but that one is interesting. Or am I wrong that an upside down vice sled is not unusual. It could work. If it was near me I'd try to buy it cheap enough to take home and play with, adapt, and further crowd my shop. It will need a real hood, but that's solvable. Tom

The limitation I see is this. I like to cut BIG ROCKS. Once in a while my stones are taller than the blade. In those instances, I can get away with a cut and "break" of the remaining uncut portion. My purpose allows this. This upside down config completely limits the maximum size of my stone. Almost to the point it must be "bricked" before I start to use this saw. US$0.002 worth (at best!)
