AZ is a fairly big state. What general area are you going to be staying at? Do you have free time to drive around? I was in Quartszite and while traveling there found some maroonish jasper north of Blythe, CA. just off the side of the road.

The plan is to drive to Holbrook, Flagstaff, Wickenburg, and Superior. Having about a day in each spot. Also wanting to go after geodes and pet wood.

I was planning a loop through Oregon, but changed my plans. Will make an Oregon trip some day though.

Google Cave Creek jasper location in Arizona. That's one of the best bright red jasper types in the region.....Mel

I was planning a loop through Oregon, but changed my plans. Will make an Oregon trip some day though. The rivers are running way high this time of year... Not food hounding unless its the pacific beaches or mountains...
