Where in CA? Pretty stuff. Our local jasp agate is pretty much all palm based and colors are generally not real exciting.

Beautiful! I haven't found any jasp-agate in the Bay Area yet. Try walking the creek beds after a good rain. There is some neat stuff up there.

We were somewhere down near Ludlow. Ludlow?? hmmm..... Lot of nice stuff all around that area. Good find! Yes, there was some nice stuff out there. The only drawback is that most of the stuff was to small for slabbing. Only found about 4 pieces large enough to slab.

Try Lavic sometimes. Most of what's left there is almost too small to tumble! Thulite/zoisite spot is not far east of Ludlow. I need to join your club. You guys have nice trips! vegasjames
