What a total embarrassment and disgusted at myself!!!!! I started the clean up and I couldn't believe how I let the oil and scum go like that in my rock saw!!! Anyhow,it's squeaky clean now and ready for the oil.....NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!! Holy Moly,it was a lot of work and scrapping !!!! (wiping brow)

Ha, I never clean mine anymore. I just use a putty knife to scoop the crud off the bottom then add more oil. I got tired of cleaning the thing up then have it dirty after the first or second rock. Easy peasy. Jim

I always try to clean mine out before it hits the pudding stage, but rarely happens. I always think I can do a few more cuts, and ........ Good luck keeping ahead of the sludge, I always have several buckets filtering at all times.
