Has anybody bought from there? I'm looking for Montana agate (we go there every year, but I doubt we'll be able to make it to the Billings area anytime soon) and came across this site. They seem to have a really good price for it, but it just seems 'too good to be true'. Also has some other accessories that I have not seen on other sites, so it makes me wonder...do you really *need* a polish stick? I'm new to tumbling, so maybe he has quality stuff? www.littleredstore.com/thanks for any insight!

Don't forget to order one of those $1,000 spray bottles! Rock prices are reasonable, can't speak to the quality.
Haven't bought from there, but many of his prices seem overly high. I'd shop around. Someone here may have all the Montana agate you need. Ask in the Buy/Sell/Trade section.

The Montana stuff doesn't look that good to me. I find the same stuff here in north central Wyoming and a lot of it is junk. Jim

captbob compared to the rock shed, yes their ceramic and grit prices are high. Guess it's because they put it in pretty plastic buckets @wampidy that's what I was thinking, I've seen some other rough that looks really different. fossilman got it, sent you a reply! I'll stay away from that place then, thanks everybody!

I was really happy with my few purchases from the Little Red Store. This is the author of Modern Rock Tumbling which is a really great book for newbies to rotary tumbling.
I have purchased mariposite, carnelian, obsidian and some Montana agates a few years back. I was happy with everything. I would say that the Montana agates were "standard" Montana agates with some dendrites, patterns and freckles. They were not the rare treats that you see featured in cabs with a tree floating is space.

150FromFundy didn't mean any disrespect towards LRS, just didn't see them mentioned here, and they did have some stuff I haven't seen on other sites. Being new to the hobby, I'm just a little wary of some websites. tkvancil thanks, fossil did take care of me and that website does look like a great deal. I'll try them out on my next purchase.
