I've had a couple tumblers sitting in my shed for a long time...One was my Dad's and one was given to me by Clyde.. As of yesterday,I started my first experience with tumbling rocks..LOL Probably going to be another rock hobby I get hooked on... The tumblers have one load of Montana agates and the other some Oregon petwood........... I've dome my homework and listened and watched you all with this hobby,so I think I should get great results....THUMBS UP
PS: Both are Lortones............

Whoo hoo, you go, Mike!
If you get started now, by the time Finnley is old enough to enjoy them, you should have oodles and oodles of them ready for her.
Nice shiny things to have and hold, look at... STOP, don't put that in your mouth!!!!

welcome to the club. Tumbling is a great way to utilize your scraps from other parts of the hobby too.

Welcome on Fossilman. don't follow what that James guy does. Just the old hands. You have all those rivers to collect from, a gold mine for tumbling. Good move.

You're gonna have you some fun. Both those materials are really fun in the tumbler. Pet wood especially, is a favorite of mine....Mel

Congrats! Not sure how you resisted starting to tumble if you already had the machines waiting for you! It's in my blood, never had that type of emotion to do things,if I didn't want too... My wife got angry one Xmas after I told her, that it wouldn't bother me a bit if my gifts were not opened till next xmas...LOL She tried it and it drove her crazy, because I really could have cared less... If I don't want to do something(good or bad) I won't and I don't...
