I have seen a lot of nice tumbles posted here lately. Got me wanting to finish a batch myself. Threw together everything I had ready. Pretty happy with this mixed batch. A couple cups of smalls I haven't sorted yet. Unakite from Brazil via the Rockshed. Some undercutting in the vibe but still nice. Quartz, Quartzite and Aventurine mostly. Might be an agate or three in there. Sea Jasper, Dalmation Stone and other mixed Jaspers. Mixed Agates with maybe a little wood and other stuff. Bahia Agate. Last time I rolled Bahias I cut them into halves or quarters. This time I did mostly complete nodules. A crop of the Bahias I like best. Lakers and Lace. Crop of some of the Lace. Crop of a few of the Lakers I like. Self collected material. Mostly Chert. My favorites from the self collected. Thanks for looking and keep on rollin' them stones!

That's one kick arse mix, tkvancil! They are all outstanding, but I really like your quartz, quartzite and aventurine tumbles!!

Wow that's a big batch. I like the one in your lakers picture with the red squiggly lines in it. They are all awesome though!!

tk your tumbles are always exceptional. Another fine show, shape polish and cool material.
Looks like those are polished in a vibe looking at the fine shine, judging from the amount you must have a big vibe.
Hard to pick a favorite, your local finds hold their own too.

It would take me a year to fill up a vibe that big. That's a lot of rocks. They obviously spent a lot of time in your rotaries because they're well shaped and flawless. Thanks for the great show.

It's a UV18. The chert here is hit and miss. Often oxidized and colorful to a point on the outside. When cracked or cut just grey and white on the inside with no fossils or crinoids. I once brought home 18 pounds and broke it all open .... 5 pounds went into the tumblers, rest into the landscape rocks.

I had to look back through my notes. 2 pounds were re-done, a rotary batch from earlier in '14. I wanted the "vibe shine" on them. The unakite and quartz were also finished roughing earlier in '14 totaling about 3 pounds and 3 months. All the rest represent what I got out of rough from July to December.

That is a very nice group of rocks with a wonderful shine. It's pretty obvious that you have a good recipe and a big vibe! Nice work!

how beautiful! Really beautiful jewel like shine, I'd have to keep those in a wide flat glass container where I could visit and handle them often and the sun could shine on them... I'd want to visit them over and over and pick out individuals for a closer look. Local finds are always the most interesting to me, perhaps because of the "unknown factor". Thanks for the show!

Superb shiny results on an amazing array of beautiful stones. Those Bahia's are possibly my favourites, although its a very difficult job choosing! Great job as usual and thanks for sharing with us!
