Yep, also sold sometimes as Oaxaca Travetine or Guadalupe Picture Jasper/Rock. Soft material and definitely in the dolomite/travertine group but it does take a glass polish with ease. Scratches real easy so you have to be careful what type of mount you set it in. Bad for belt buckles as they get too much abrasion and knocking about.....Mel

Thanks gingerkid, I agree and will resist the urge to cab it. It is living in my office on the slab shelf for viewing as is. If I ever get around to doing intarsias I will frame with some other materials. For now it's staying au natural... Cheers.
