that first one is a beauty! Many of the other cuts are no slouches, either. several winners in this batch. Fascinating things, those Montanas.

Some nice Montanas. Love the dendrites. All the ones I've found just look muddy on the inside. My wife calls them "Mold agates" haha.

Bought over 4000 pounds of Montana agates..They collected them in the 50',60's and early 70's.... I have a few more to cut, wish I could afford to buy more, but Montana's are high($$) on the market now!!!

Study the history on Montana agate. there was a bar in Montana where the found a huge stash of it many years ago. greyfingers Bill had an article about it, crazy history about it. sounds like a solid investment Michael, good for you. I thought those look like high grade ones. The only way to collect it is walking and collecting one at a time. 4000 pounds is a lot of walking. Good on you.

I also get lots of Montana's from my Nephew in Montana too.....He lived right next to the Yellowstone River in Laurel,MT.... He doesn't care for the agates,he likes the petwood on the river-so I horsetrade him the Montana's for cutting his petwood..... We both like the deal and we are both happy.......
