Lee, I know that! I wanted you to vouch for how nice the rocks are, lol.
Rob, thank you for your second guess. I think you did post at the same time as Nancie.
Jan, yes mrrockpicker forever has joined the ranks. Guess he figured why let me have all the fun?
Will check responses this afternoon, and give info to narrow it down. I will tell you, there are a couple of close ones. If we don't have a winner, then you can all guess again!

If you win, I can send them to anyone you designate. I can post the recipe for those lemon bars if anybody is interested. Just say the word... My wife would like the lemon bar recipe. I'd like the rocks so I'll guess 41.2 miles.

Okay, update for the mileage. No one has the correct answer yet, although one person is only 3/10s of a mile off. Who would that be?? That would be for you to find out, lol!!
I will narrow the window down to from 5.0 to 45.0 miles. At this point, you may all take another guess.
Tommy, will try to get a pic of the rough and get it posted soon. We'd like to see the group photo Eva took at the Brenda field trip. Trade ya pics?
Ken, here's the recipe for your wife -
Rich Lemon Bars
(Makes 24 to 36 bars)
1 1/2 cups unsifted flour 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar 3/4 cup cold margarine or butter 4 eggs, slightly beaten 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar 1 tsp baking powder 3 TBSP unsifted flour 1/2 cup ReaLemon© Lemon Juice from Concentrate* Additional confectioners' sugar
*NOTE - I use fresh squeezed lemon juice from my home grown lemons
Preheat oven to 350°. In medium bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour and 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar; cut in margarine until crumbly. Press onto bottom of lightly greased 13 X 9-inch baking pan; bake 15 minutes. Meanwhile, in large bowl, combine eggs, granulated sugar, baking powder, ReaLemon© brand (or real lemon juice) and remaining 3 TBSP of flour; mix well. Pour over baked crust; bake 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Cut into bars. Sprinkle with additional confectioners' sugar. Store covered in refrigerator.
Delicious frozen. Enjoy!
This is an older recipe, so there is no nutrition or calorie info. You probably don't want to know!

We need more information like was mrrockpicker forever doing the driving or one of you ladies ? That will narrow down the route being the most efficient or scenic vs. well I'd rather not say. For now I'll say 44.3 ? ^^ ducking down for a bit^^

... will try to get a pic of the rough and get it posted soon. Yay! in particular I'm talking about that piece of angel wing - or stalagmite - or whatever they call it - I call it pluming beautiful. The fact that we watched him take that one right out of a vein without destroying it is a very special experience. You got it. I'll PM you a link to download the full size photo. BTW those lemon bars were freaking awesome. Don't tell anyone but I had to go back for seconds...or was it thirds...

We have a winner!!! New/old member victor1941 correctly picked 29.7 miles. PM your address to me (rockpickerforever) and I'll get that right out to you. If you are on the east coast, will send as soon as the blizzard is over. (brrrrr....) I know that you will enjoy the rocks. Thanks everyone for playing. Wish I could have picked up enough material for everybody .
