I was wondering tonight how everyone displays their display pieces. I don't have display cases and don't have a lot of room for them if I did. I tend to mix my wood and other items into what we already have, hence, there is wood all over the house!

All of the wood in these two pictures is from Stinking Water mts. Mostly white oak.

love having them around where I can handle and admire them. In baskets, bowls, jars, on shelves, tables, the floor, windowsills, in the fish tanks, counters, tops of cupboards, no place is safe. Beautiful displays you have with some nice pottery, too!

I have two bookcase style display shelves loaded with about 100 my favourite specimens on each. I got all scientific with my collection and separated minerals into classification (Elements, Carbonates, Sulphides, etc.) and even broke Silicates into the sub-types (Disilicate, Metasilicate, Pyrosilictae, etc.)
In spite of all my attempts to be organized, I have the same problem that most have. I already need a third shelf and my significant other thinks I have a problem.

I think if I was into collecting minerals, I would do like you are doing. I have a real problem with being organized, would hate to show pictures from the inside of my shop!
