I love limb casts. But how about a negative limb cast, where the wood rotted away and left a hollow tube, which then started to fill in with druzy quartz crystals ?

Wish I could have gotten the whole tube. Matrix is a cemented course grained sandstone. As I was digging it out, most of it crumbled into little pieces. It's from sand hills several miles E.S.E. of the Salton Sea in So Cal. Very dry area, so there isn't a lot of water to carry infill minerals.
