Not sure what the recipe is for 'buck,' jamesp. A group of women that I worked with many moons ago were talking about it. It sounded gross - beer and alcohol (maybe wine?) cooked on the stove. ?? Used to enjoy hunch punch and some Wild Turkey back in the day. It may be referring to a prison concoction too. Pruno and Hooch is prison liquor. Buck is a cocktail originating from the roaring 20's, w/a wide gambit of recipes. it can be mixed with vodka, gin, rum, and several others. There is also 'Buck' Kentucky bourbon. ha, hunch punch, memories of one foot on the floor laying in bed

I think you are correct, jamesp, about 'Buck.' Sounded nasty whatever it is in it. Rot gut. Prison concoctions, lol. I found some prison recipes while searching for information on Buck. One foot on the floor while spinning on the bed...blowing grits and fluttering quail...

Fantatstic! Appreciated and copied. One question.. can you do this in 5 gallon plastic pails or would the plastic taste leech into the brandy? You could use food grade plastic. I do for primary fermentation for beer and wine. Lee #1 Thanks Lee, I thought there was a difference, should pic a few of them up..
