Howdy folks, Bob wanted to see a pic of some tumbled Rio Grande Agate. Not a great pic but this is a batch in progress. Rocks in various stages of completion because I just keep adding more as I remove those ready for fine grind. Group photos really do not do this material justice as there are individual pieces that are really, really nice. In a few weeks I'll show pics of the other stages if I remember......Mel

Man I'm really liking those. Almost tried to buy some last time you were selling for the pups. May have to get some next time they're up.

Thanks Mel Looking good! I plan to do a Rio load once I get the Stone Canyon going. Figure the Dallasite should be finished by then and free up 2 barrels. Afraid I'm going to be going with much larger stones. Probably be my last batch of the season (before it gets too hot) and hopefully be able to finish them up by June.

Yeah, I take advantage of the cooler weather a lot too. Got to get my "on the ground" chores, rock cracking for the tumbler etc before chigger season. If you sit on the ground here in spring or summer, the damn chiggers and fire ants about eat you alive. These Rios take awhile to grind. I'm on week four with grit recharges every four days and still have only a half barrel ready for fine grind in the UV-10. The good thing is, yield increases every week as more and more get properly smoothed and rounded. Probably up to two pounds per every four days now. I've got some big paper weight sized stones I want to do too but don't want them knocking about with those smaller stones in this batch. Some of those are going to be really special I think.....Mel
