I want to try faceting....I may like it...I may hate it....but...I wanna try it. so...I have flat laps....what I need it the rest of the set up. looking for used.....and I cant spend a lotta money on it for a trial thing....but...if you know of somewhere ..or someone..it would be greatly appreciated

There is a great faceters group at yahoo groups. Those guys are genius. Plus you may find someone to take a class from, no equipment buying required.

I highly recommend the Columbia-Willamette Faceters’ Guild. facetersguild.com/ They host classes at the Rice museum. ricenorthwestmuseum.org/ The class fee includes use of the faceting machine, synthetic rough, and supplies. You will have lots of hands on time with instructor direction or supervision. Most people are able to complete several stones.

Well...lol...I was just gonna try to teach myself....as...dont really have the funds to spare for any kind of classes.....tho it would be cool.....
